Fort Lauderdale wedding photographers
One of the great things about being a Fort Lauderdale wedding photographer is that I get to work with people at a very happy time in their lives. For the bride and groom it can be a stressful time because so much is going on. The young couple has a lot of plans to make with florists, caterers, bands or DJ's and the venues. I tend to be a very calm person and this helps them to also relax and not stress over the details. I'm calm for a good reason, I have over 25 years of experience in this career of mine so I know exactly what needs to be done. The bride never needs to explain what shots to take or to remind me to arrive early. Sometimes there are some special shots that are required and I'm always happy to accomodate these requests. Many times the young couple doesn't know what photos typically should be shot so when I run through my list they are always impressed that I have thought of every possible shot. The simple truth is that over the years the brides and grooms have told me what to shoot so now I've got a list of potential shots longer than almost anyone would ever think of.
Fortunately in this area there are so many great venues that can host a nice event. It makes this part of the planning easy for a couple because they can select a venue in any price range. There are some options with spectacular ocean views and we also have plenty of golf course locations that are equally beautiful. Some people who are more traditional will set up something at one of the local historic attractions. Mixing old world charm which is often found in the great archeticture of South Florida adds to the traditional look which will be transfered to the photos.
We have been to every possible venue so we already know where to find the scenic backdrops for our photos upon our arrival at the location. A lot of our work will involve catching people in natural settings often without them knowing that they are being photographed. This leads to a photojournalistic look in which we are more or less telling the story (in pictures) of what happened rather than asking everyone to line up and say, "Cheese".
It is always good to speak with a professional photographer about the cost of his or her work and to plan a reasonable budget. Ofent we find that people will hire a five piece band but want to skimp on the photos. Sure you might think of course I'd mention that because I'm not in the band. Think about it this way, when your special day is over the music that played will soon be forgotten, the flowers will have long ago died and the only thing that remains other than your committment to each other is the photography. This is the reason that it is best to plan to do this part right!
